My Chemical RomanceSo November 27th my friends and I decided to broaden our horizons and go see My Chemical Romance at the Corel Center in Kanata. I have to say it was quite a show, I was very impressed. The concert started with about 40 minutes from Thrice after the other opening band, Circa Survive, failed to show up. Then there was an intermission of sorts while the crew set up the stage for MCR, and I used the time to buy myself a white, Blood-Rose t-shirt in the lobby for 25 bucks. Not bad. A lot of people were dressed up in tutus and dresses, and there was even one girl with a shirt that said "GERAD" on the back, in bold black letters. Sigh.

When I got back, the show got underway with Thanks For The Venom, scaring me a bit when the huge curtain covering the stage fell down. The Stage had a Cathedral-type layout, and there was Gerard, traipsing around, posing and screaming, swearing here and there, an over-all great performance from him. I am happy to announce that they did NOT start with their more popular songs, Helena or Ghost of You. (Sadly, those two songs have been ruined for me by our friend the Radio.) They played quite a few songs, from both albums, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, and Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, and even one encore of I'm Not Okay (I Promise).

Then, at the end of the show, as Gerard and his group finished their last lyrics, a huge cloud of Confetti burst into the air, and they made a quick exit while we sat, stunned, looking around at eachother and thinking, "I wonder if I'll ever be able to hear again..."

So, In all, a good time, and I'd give the whole thing a .
