Thisfilm left me speechless.
I never thought, even with the technology we have now, that anyone could make a talking lion look so... natural. This movie was so much better than I had ever expected. For anyone who has ever read the Chronicles of Narnia, and still remembered what happened in the second book (I didn't..) you'd know that it is about four children that find a magical world in an old wardrobe, and defeat the evil queen ruling Narnia with the help of the Great Lion Aslan. And if you remember the OLD Narnia movies...Hahaha. :P
I haven't ever seen a movie (recently) that has stayed so very close to its written counterpart, and I can honestly say that the whole world looks exactly like I had pictured in my head, save for the queen Jadis, who I always figured had black hair. The fights were excellent, the children were adorable, and the scenery breathetaking. I urge you to see this movie. Child, teen, adult, it does not matter, this is a film for all ages.
Now, my parents told me about some non-religious groups who were tutting Disney for making this movie, because of the obvious religious connections between C.S.Lewis's world and Christianity. Example: Aslan, son of the Emperor Across the Sea = Jesus, son of God. I, for the sake of not being harrassed, will not take any side on this argument, but I will let you know that I like this story because it is one of courage, trust, and love, and that right there is enough for me. Also, talking animals rock.
Go see it. Now!
